this podcast was shared to me by my niece and I thought it was wonderful. My heart goes out to Shani. I have a daughter as well that suffers from drug addiction and mental health problems. I am fortunate to still have her in my life but at age 26 she now sits in prison for the next two years because of her multiple felonies caused by her actions as a result of her addiction. Drug addiction has ripped her once stable life apart and now her actions will affect her and her three young children’s lives forever. I am a nurse as well so have also experienced the embarrassment that one may feel with a child that everyone talks about. I admire Shani for her strength and courage and her fight for narcan.
